Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (or breadcrumbs)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Oil (for shallow frying)

Instructions:


Step 1: Prepare the Mixture

  1. Boil and mash the potatoes in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add chopped onions, green chili, and coriander leaves.
  3. Mix in the cumin powder, garam masala, red chili powder, chaat masala, salt, and ginger-garlic paste.
  4. Add cornflour (or breadcrumbs) to bind the mixture.
  5. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly combined.

Step 2: Shape the Tikkis

  1. Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into round, flat patties.
  2. Repeat with the remaining mixture.

Step 3: Fry the Tikkis

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Put the tikkis in the pan and cook them in a shallow fryer until they are crispy and golden brown on both sides.
